Guests enter Soundproof from the cinema concourse through an unmarked door beneath an illuminated “Recording in Progress” sign. A wall-mounted pushbutton releases the door, which opens automatically into a small holding room.
Inside, guests choose from a series of hanging microphones. Pulling the correct one projects a code onto the wall, which is entered into a pin pad built into a faux mixing board. The code is “HOOKY” (4-6-6-5-9). A one-way window above allows Soundproof staff to monitor the space.
Entering the correct code releases the interior door, leading guests directly into Soundproof and to the concierge desk.
